On Saturday 7th October StepUp! held an evening to raise funds. Special thanks to Terri Marshall for sorting the evening out, fair to say Terri does a damn fine job. The event was held at Beech Hill bowls club, this is a lovely hall and the bar staff their worked for free, as did the duo that entertained us. Brian and Ray, who are guitared and plastered also gave their services for free and the two gents did us proud playing a selection of songs primeraly from the fifties and sixties, hence the night of nostalgia. Thank you to each and every one of you that came and supported the group. It would have been nice to have seen a few more amputees, as I feel you missed out on another great event.
On Tuesday 12th September we held the Macmillan coffee day, this evolved from one of the groups coffee afternoons. I would like to thank every one that brought or bought cakes to the centre. All money raised will go to Macmillan cancer. Keep visiting this page to see what money was raised.

On Thursday 31st August we said goodbye to our consultant Dr Imad Sedki. Dr Sedki will be taking a full time position at Stanmore, we wish him all the very best. Dr Sedki has been replaced by Dr Ajay Boppana who will be working at the Limb Centre on Mondays and Thursdays initially. On the same day we also said goodbye to Kate Pearce. Kate was a full time Orthotist but recently she took up the roll of prosthetist. Kate will be travelling to Australia with her boyfriend and we wish them well.
